Will pan mee survive?

With the forever inflating cost of petrol and recently electricity, will pan mee still be the No.1 choice for all the pan mee lovers throughout the country when it comes to filling the stomach? This is a thought that kept lingering on my mind since the announcement of the electricity bill hike. Will shops close or will more spring open? I wonder how pan mee lovers and shop owners feel bout this?

Sharing a little thought here...

Oooooh it's Christmas soon!

It's really like tick tock there goes the clock. Time is running so fast that in a blink of an eye I'm almost 8 months pregnant!!! Yes it's kinda alarming with all those excitement and anxiety and whatever mixture of feelings that I'm feeling. It also explains in a way why I haven't been a devoted fan of pan mee all these months because I haven't eaten any! Haha :P

Although I am not eating any pan mee doesn't mean that I'm not thinking about it (there's truth to this statement... at least 29.5%). The other 70.5%, I was thinking about getting a new facelift for this blog - to make it more flexible and prolly it's a good idea to include a bunch of relevant advertisers too! I think in a way, ilovepanmee can expand a whole lot more if I try harder.

ilovepanmee on Facebook has up-to-date 638 fans and is increasing steadily but a little slowly at the moment. I think Malaysians who love pan mee are out there and they just need a reason to step into this blog and become a fan.

What am I gonna do? I'm gonna create a bridge for pan mee lovers to connect to the world of Malaysian Pan Mee! I hope it works...

So in love with pan mee

Here are some pictures of my friend, one who sometimes love pan mee and sometimes "gu lou yuk" (a pork dish). These photos were taken some time back in PJ and this type of pan mee is called the "lum pan mee". We (3 of us actually) went to try this lum pan mee during lunch time and there was a lot, a lot of people!

Can you guess where exactly is this place?

For better or worse?

Just 5 minutes ago, my friend - the programmer, taught me how to ENLARGE my blog photos and I'm just wondering about what you might think? Do you like bigger photos or smaller ones?

Slurpalicious Pan Mee

The sun was heating the room and so I left and wandered to Bandar Puteri Puchong. There, I found an intermediate lot, painted brown and I thought to myself "This could be a good place to sit and shy away from the glaring sun."

Well... so I sat down with my partner and we stared at the menu until the clock struck 2. Yes, the menu was filled with varieties of so many different types of pan mee and it was tough to make a sound decision. So I 'Eeny Meeny Miney Mo' in the end and somehow my finger brought itself to a stop at... THIS!

My partner was a little more adventurous and he consumed this...

The chilli pan mee was pretty good but unfortunately the tomyam one was not good. My tongue did an awful twisted dance when tasting the soup. I figured that they dropped in a bag of salt (hopefully by accident) and I'd forgive them in an instant.

Anyway, here's the place and I hope you'll bring like 10 friends to try almost all of its variety. As always, the slogan goes: Never try, never know! This is free advertising for you, Restoran Noodles Village of Puchong. Remember to save on salt; signing off, I'm Sleepyfriday and ilovepanmee. *Peace* Lol.

A Pocket of Gold

A new year is approaching and the Tiger is waiting silently... calmly nearby. I'm sure the Ox will give way after a year of grazing. Hopefully this Metal Tiger will bring much joy, and hopefully, this will be a much more active and aggressive year.

I have been working on this little project on and off for maybe about 6 months (bringing into account my constant laziness). I hope I can do much better than this but I don't think time really permits right now. I'm pretty sure you can all guess what this is even without the slightest hint :)

You're Posted! Fan Pic #5

Here are some pan mee photos ~ all the way from Kuantan, I assume. These are posted by Helen Foong on ilovepanmee's Facebook fan page. Check them out ~ there's dragon fruit-flavoured pan mee and another 2 different unknown flavours... pick a guess. Lol.

Old Town pan mee

A busy afternoon I had, yet I needed to eat... and the nearest was Old Town. I quickly picked out pan mee from the menu and waited for it to arrive. I don't have a camera with me but my handphone came in handy. What to do... I used it.

This is actually chilli pan mee and it tasted quite alright but don't ask for any extra chilli (comes in small plastic saucer) because they charge. You can find Old Town anywhere in PJ and KL and all around Malaysia.
